The following story is one I wrote just two years after our daughters, Sarah and Ileana died. Ileana was just three and Sarah was 12. We were living in Quito, Ecuador, working as missionaries there with HCJB, an international mission whose main focus was radio, although Ross worked in healthcare and I worked in all sorts of areas including healthcare, radio, publicity and hospitality.

It’s 13 years since I wrote this story. It took me a long time to really be able to trust God completely again, but He has remained with me through the, sometimes very rocky, journey. He has assured me that He never left me and continues to give me the assurance that I will see my girls again.

Two years ago God gave me a desire to reach out to others who have suffered loss, who grieve, and who are hurting. We started Healing Place Ministries in January 2008, and through Writing for Healing and Prayer Ministry God is touching even more lives and restoring hope, setting these dearly loved ones back on the path, walking with Him into the destiny that is uniquely theirs.
